Deleting your data

Last updated: 9 September 2026.

This page explains how to remove your data from Cliporium. There are three places it can be, and they are independent - read whichever applies to you.

  • The Cliporium web service - if you made an account and uploaded videos.
  • Your PC - if you use Cliporium for Windows.
  • Cliporium’s posting service - only if you connected TikTok or Instagram in the Windows app.

If you want everything gone and would rather not work out which is which, email info@nexiorastudio.com and say so. That covers all three.

The Cliporium web service

This is the account you made at cliporium.com to upload videos and generate clips.

Delete it yourself, in the app. Sign in and go to Settings → Delete your account. You will be asked to type your email address to confirm, and then it is done - immediately, not queued for later review.

Or delete a single upload. If you only want to remove one video rather than the whole account, each upload in your dashboard has its own delete action, which removes that video and every clip generated from it.

What deleting your account removes, in full:

  • Your account: email address and hashed password.
  • Every video you uploaded, and every clip generated from it, removed from our cloud storage.
  • The database records of those uploads and clips, including the original filenames.
  • Your credit balance and subscription records on our side.

All of it happens immediately, in that order: any active subscription is cancelled first, so a deleted account can never be billed again, then the stored files go, then the account record. If the subscription cannot be cancelled or the files cannot be removed, nothing is deleted and you are told why - rather than leaving you with a half-deleted account still attached to a payment.

If you cannot sign in. Email info@nexiorastudio.com and tell us which account it is. We will delete it for you within 30 days and confirm when it is done.

One thing we cannot delete for you. Stripe keeps its own record of payments you made, because a payment processor is legally required to retain transaction records. We delete our link to it; the financial record itself is Stripe’s and is governed by their retention rules and by tax law. Everything else goes.

What the web service holds until then

WhatHow long
Your email address and hashed passwordUntil you delete your account
Uploaded videos and generated clipsUntil you delete them, or delete your account. There is no automatic expiry today
Upload records: filename, status, mode, timestampUntil you delete that upload, or your account
Credit balance and subscription stateUntil you delete your account
Your sign-in sessionHeld in a cookie in your browser; ends when it expires or you sign out
Stripe customer and payment recordsHeld by Stripe under their retention rules and applicable tax law

On your PC

Everything the Windows app knows lives in two folders:

  • %LOCALAPPDATA%\Cliporium - settings, the library database, logs, thumbnails, and the encrypted store holding any webhook or account tokens.
  • The Cliporium folder on whichever drive you chose for clips.

Delete those two and nothing of yours remains on the machine. Uninstalling does not remove them, on purpose: an uninstaller that deleted a year of clips would be a worse surprise than one that left them.

On Cliporium’s posting service

Only relevant if you connected TikTok or Instagram in the Windows app. YouTube and Discord never involve it: those uploads go from your PC to Google or Discord directly. The web service does not involve it either.

In the app. Open Settings → Sharing and remove the connection. That does three things at once: it deletes the tokens from your PC, it tells the service to delete its copy, and it tells the platform to revoke them. This is the whole procedure, and it takes a second.

Without the app. If the PC is gone, or the app will not open:

  1. Revoke Cliporium at the platform itself. On TikTok: Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Manage app permissions. On Instagram: Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites. The tokens the service holds stop working immediately.
  2. Then send a deletion request as below, so the rows go too.

By request. Contact us at info@nexiorastudio.com, saying which platform account was connected. The posting service holds no name, address or email of its own, so the platform account handle is the only handle it can be found by. Anything remaining is deleted within 30 days, and you get a confirmation.

What the posting service holds in the meantime

WhatHow long
The platform tokens for a connected accountUntil you disconnect
A connect link you started and did not finish10 minutes
The clip you are sendingMinutes; deleted as soon as the platform has it, swept within 30
The title you typedUntil the send finishes, then nulled
A record of a send (platform, time, outcome)7 days, then deleted
The opaque installation idWhile in use; rate-limit counters are swept after 2 days

The posting service has no account of its own, no email address, no advertising identifier and no device fingerprint. The installation id is a random value generated once per data folder; deleting %LOCALAPPDATA%\Cliporium discards it, and the next run generates a new one. It is not connected to your Cliporium web account, if you have one.

Deauthorisation callbacks

If you remove Cliporium from your account on the platform’s own settings page, the platform notifies the service and it deletes the account’s tokens without being asked. That is Meta’s deauthorize callback and TikTok’s equivalent, and it is why disconnecting at the platform is sufficient on its own.
