Terms of use

These terms cover two things:
- The Cliporium web service at cliporium.com, where you upload a long video, get short clips back, and can post or schedule them to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Discord accounts you connect.
- Cliporium for Windows, the desktop recorder, which can also send recordings to, and schedule posts through, your web account when you sign in to it.
Cliporium is provided by Nexiora Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). Using any of them means accepting these terms. If you use only one, only the sections about that one apply to you.
The web service
Your account
You need an account to upload anything. Give a working email address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has got into your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.
You must be at least 13, and old enough to hold an account on any platform you go on to publish to. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission to use Cliporium, and a paid plan must be bought by, or with the agreement of, that parent or guardian.
Credits, plans and cancelling
Processing costs credits: two credits per clip produced and five per reel. You only pay for clips you actually get - if a video yields fewer clips than you asked for, you are charged for the ones produced. New accounts start with ten. If your balance is empty when a job runs, nothing is processed and nothing is spent - the upload is simply marked as having no credits.
Plans are Starter at £9.99, Pro at £24.99 and Ultimate at £69.99 per month, granting 50, 150 and 500 credits. They renew automatically each month until you cancel.
- Cancelling ends the subscription and stops future charges. Credits already added to your balance stay there - they do not expire and are not taken back.
- Changing plan while you already have a subscription schedules the new plan for your next billing cycle rather than charging you again immediately. You can cancel a scheduled change before it takes effect.
Credits are a way of metering the service, not currency. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred or refunded for money. None of this affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer where you live.
What you upload
Upload only video you have the right to upload, and publish only what you have the right to publish. Concretely: do not use Cliporium to process or publish other people’s copyrighted work, recordings of people who have not agreed to be recorded, private conversations you are not part of, or anything a platform you post to forbids.
Do not upload material that is unlawful, and do not use the service to try to break it, to get at other people’s files, or as general file storage. We can suspend an account that does.
Your clips are yours
Cliporium claims no rights over anything you upload or anything it produces from it. There is no watermark and there never will be. We never use anything you upload to train a model. Your videos are processed on infrastructure we run and are never sent to a third-party AI provider. We look at your files only when you ask us to, and only as far as needed to sort out a problem you have raised.
Google Gemini is the exception. For podcast clips, the transcript text of your video is sent to Google’s Gemini API to choose the moments worth clipping, and for reels, your brand profile is sent to it to write the script. Google’s terms for that API may allow it to use that text to improve its models and allow human reviewers to read it. If Gemini is unavailable, the same text is sent to Groq instead. Your videos and their audio are never part of that - only text. Privacy sets out exactly what is sent. General, gaming and tutorial clips only use it if choosing their moments on our own machines fails.
You grant us permission to store and process your video for the single purpose of producing clips for you, making them available in your account, and publishing them where you tell us to. That permission ends when the file is deleted.
Posting to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Discord
You can connect your own TikTok account, Instagram professional account, YouTube channel or Discord webhook, and then post or schedule clips to it. By connecting an account:
- You authorise us to publish on your behalf the content you choose, with the caption and settings you choose, at the time you choose - including through an automation you set up. We do not post anything else, and we do not read, edit or delete anything else on your account.
- You confirm the account is yours, or that you are authorised to manage it, and that you have the rights to everything you post to it.
- That platform’s own terms apply to you and to what you post, in full, exactly as if you had uploaded it there yourself: TikTok Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, Instagram Terms of Use and Community Guidelines, and Discord’s Terms of Service. Cliporium uses YouTube API Services, and by using Cliporium you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service; Google’s use of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. That includes disclosing branded or paid content where the platform requires it.
- No spam or artificial engagement. Do not use Cliporium to post repetitive or misleading content, to post to accounts you do not control, or to get around a platform’s limits.
The platform decides what it accepts and publishes, and when. It may limit how Cliporium can post - for example, until TikTok approves Cliporium for direct posting, videos arrive in your TikTok inbox as drafts for you to finish there - and it may reject, remove or delay a post. We are not responsible for a platform’s decisions, and we cannot guarantee a scheduled post goes out if the platform is unavailable or your connection has expired; the Calendar tells you when a post fails, and why.
You can disconnect an account at any time from the Connections page, or remove Cliporium in the platform’s own settings. How we handle the data a platform shares with us is set out in Privacy.
Cliporium is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok, Meta, Instagram, Google, YouTube or Discord, and their names are used only to say which platforms it works with.
Cliporium for Windows
A screen recorder that keeps the last few minutes of your game and saves a clip when you press a key. It runs on your PC. It does not inject anything into a game, and it does not upload anything unless you press Send.
Record what you have the right to record, and post what you have the right to post. Be aware of what a replay buffer captures - everything on the monitor, not just the game. That is described in full on the Privacy page.
A post you schedule from the app is made by the web service, with the accounts you connected there, and everything above about posting to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Discord applies to it in full - including that platform’s own rules, exactly as if you had uploaded it there yourself.
What we do with your data
Privacy is the answer, in detail. In summary:
- The web service holds an account for you - your email address and a hashed password - stores the videos you upload and the clips made from them, and keeps the billing identifiers Stripe needs. Your video is processed on infrastructure we run, not by a third-party AI provider. The exception is text: a podcast video’s transcript and a reel’s brand profile are sent to Google’s Gemini API, or to Groq when Gemini is unavailable. If you connect TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or Discord, it holds that account’s encrypted tokens and uses them only to show which account is connected, to publish what you choose, and - for YouTube - to keep what it holds up to date, as YouTube requires.
- The Windows app keeps everything on your PC, except what you send from it to your web account - a recording to be clipped, or a post you schedule and the export it needs - which the web service then holds as it holds your uploads.
There is no advertising, no analytics profile, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone beyond the providers listed on the Privacy page and the platform you chose to post to.
Removing your data
Deleting your data covers this properly. In short: for the web service, delete your account yourself from Settings → Delete your account, which cancels any active subscription, removes every upload and clip from storage, and takes effect immediately, including every connected account. To remove one connected account, disconnect it on the Connections page. For the Windows app, delete the two folders on your PC.
Availability, and the honest part
The web service is offered as-is. It may be unavailable, and it may be withdrawn. If it is, the Windows app keeps working: recording, clipping, editing, exporting and sharing to Discord all happen on your PC and need no server of ours. Sending and scheduling from the app would stop, and you would export the file and post it yourself.
If the web service is withdrawn, we will give reasonable notice so you can download your clips first, and we will not bill you for a month you cannot use.
Nothing here is a promise that the software is free of defects. It is a recorder that runs beside games and a pipeline that processes large video files; it is tested before each release ships, but it is not tested against every game, driver, codec and machine that exists. Keep your own copies of anything you would be upset to lose.
Suspension and ending
You can stop using Cliporium and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or a connected platform’s terms, or that puts the service or other users at risk, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Cliporium is provided without warranty, and its authors are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, the release notes will say so, and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use Cliporium after that means accepting the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of your local law and can bring a claim in your local courts.
